The Match-Up

The Explorers and Hoyas are 4-4 all-time against each other, with Georgetown taking a slim 50-46 win when the two squads met at McDonough two years ago.

Scouting the Explorers

La Salle is coming off of a 1-1 week, which saw the Explorers topple Lehigh 49-48 on a last-second 3-pointer from Brittany Wilson. The Explorers also traveled to Chapel Hill for their first-ever meeting with North Carolina, and a strong first half propelled them to a 32-31 lead over the 25th-ranked Tar Heels at the half before falling 85-55. Shanel Harrison recorded her first double-double as an Explorer, pouring in a game-best 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Wilson continues to lead the Explorers and the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 20.6 ppg, while leading the team with 6.2 rebounds per game. Jordan Mosley is adding 8.2 points and chipping in 2.8 rebounds, while Harrison's average jumped to 8.0 ppg and she is now second in rebounding with 5.2 per contest.

Scouting the Hoyas

The Hoyas went 1-1 at the Cal Classic behind a 53-51 win over Cal State Fullerton and a 72-56 setback to No. 11/11 Cal.

The Explorers will contend with shooting guard Sugar Rodgers, who averages 23.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Rodgers dropped in 35 points earlier this season in a win over Delaware. Andrea White also averages double figures with 11.2 points per game, while chipping in 4.7 boards per contest.

The Hoyas have also given opponents fits, as they have forced 140 turnovers in four games.

Next Up

The Explorers return to Philadelphia this weekend for two Big 5 contests. The squad heads to the Palestra on Friday for a 7 p.m. meeting with Penn before playing at Villanova on Sunday at 2 p.m.
