Becca Chylack Named To Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team

PHILADELPHIA - La Salle senior Becca Chylack has been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Field Hockey Team, it was announced today in voting conducted by the sports information offices of the 28 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Chylack was named to the team for the third straight season and finished an outstanding career for the Explorers in November.

She became the first Explorer in program history to earn All-Atlantic 10 honors four times in her career after receiving second team recognition for the third straight year in 2012. She was a first team all-conference pick as a freshman.

This fall, Chylack scored five goals and assisted on another for 11 points. She finishes her career seventh on La Salle's all-time points list with 65 and eighth on the goals list with 26.

Chylack also was an Academic All-Atlantic 10 selection for the third straight season. She holds a 3.84 grade point average as a nursing major.
