The Match-Up

La Salle and Florida met last year at Long Island's Thanksgiving Classic, with the Gators taking an 85-74 decision. Jordan Mosley scored 16 and Brittany Wilson scored 15 as four different Explorers hit double figures in the high-scoring affair. Florida's then-senior Jordan Jones led all scorers with 28 points thanks to six three-pointers. Sunday's meeting marks the third in history, and the first on either team's home court. The squad also played in 2003 in the championship game of the BU Invitational.

Scouting the Explorers

The Explorers look to bounce back from a hard loss against Albany on Dec. 5. Ebonee Jones led the squad with 13 points and added two blocks and two assists.

Brittany Wilson continues to lead the Explorers and the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 19.9 per game. The Preseason All-Defensive pick also found her way into the league's top 15 by leading the team with 7.1 rebounds per game. She also dishes out 2.3 assists per contest and has contributed six blocked shots on the season.

Shanel Harrison is second on the team in both scoring and rebounding, contributing 8.0 ppg and 6.6 rpg. Her average is higher against BCS teams, scoring 12.3 points and pulling down 8.0 rebounds per game so far in the three games against major conferences.

Scouting the Gators

Florida is back in action after a nine-day break for finals. The Gators come in with a 7-3 record and topped Pacific 89-82 in their last time out. The squad is 0-2 this season in road games, not including neutral court.

Preseason Naismith Player of the Year candidate Jennifer George leads the Gators with 14.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. She leads a quartet of Gators averaging double figures as Sydney Moss scores 11.0 per game, Jaterra Bonds adds 10.2 and Carlie Needles chips in 10.1. Moss and Kayla Lewis also add 6.1 rebounds per game.

The Gators as a team outscore opponents 72.9 to 66.0 and outrebound the competition 41.2 to 37.8.
