PHILADELPHIA - The accolades for the 2011 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Champions did not stop in November. On Wednesday it was announced that the team was named to the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic list.
 
The Explorers were on the list of 147 Division 1 cross country teams that spanned 30 conferences. La Salle compiled a GPA of 3.11.
 
For teams to qualify for the list, they must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. The team must have also started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
 
Fordham, Temple, Dayton, Charlotte, Richmond and La Salle all represented the Atlantic 10 Conference on the All-Academic list.
 
The men also added 11 student-athletes to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2011 semester. The athletes must post a GPA of 3.5 or better.  For the entire list of student-athletes click here.
