Lacrosse Prepares For Big 5 Contest Against Villanova Tomorrow

PHILADELPHIA – The lacrosse team will travel to face Big 5 rival Villanova tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m.

Tomorrow's contest and Saturday's game versus San Diego State are the final non-conference meetings for the Explorers before they open their Atlantic 10 schedule.

La Salle's 14-12 win at Binghamton last Saturday afternoon improved the Explorers' record to 5-2.

Senior goalkeeper Megan Corliss is first in the Atlantic 10 in save percentage (.540) and fifth in goals against average (9.37) on the season.  In the latest Division I rankings, Corliss is ranked third in save percentage and 22nd in goals against average.

Scouting the Wildcats (1-4)

Villanova enters tomorrow's contest on a four-game losing streak, most recently falling to George Washington on the road last Wednesday.  During that stretch, the Wildcats faced two nationally ranked teams in Princeton and Georgetown.

Under first-year head coach Julie Young, Villanova was picked to finish eighth in the Big East preseason poll.  Senior midfielder Justine Donodeo leads the Wildcats' attack.

Villanova leads the series between the two schools, 7-6
