2012 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - The recent addition of VCU to the Atlantic 10 has altered the 2012 La Salle field hockey schedule. The Explorers will now play the Rams on Sunday, October 21 at Hank DeVincent Field replacing the previously scheduled contest with Lehigh. 

La Salle will open up its season with a three-game road trip to California to play Stanford (August 24), Pacific (August 26) and UC Davis (August 27). 

The home opener is Saturday, September 1 against St. Francis (Pa.) before returning to the road to visit Villanova (September 5) and Columbia (September 9). Two home games versus Rider (September 15) and Penn (September 19) ensue leading into a road trip to Liberty to take on Robert Morris and the host Flames on the September 22-23 weekend.

Bryant and Sacred Heart will visit the next weekend on September 28 and 30 to  round out the non-conference schedule.

A-10 play opens up with a visit to Lock Haven on October 6. La Salle returns home the next Friday for its final ever conference matchup with Temple on October 12 before visiting St. Joe's on October 14.

UMass and VCU come to Philadelphia on October 19 and 21, respectively, before the Explorers wrap up the season by visiting Saint Louis (October 26) and hosting Richmond (October 28) to finish the season.

The A-10 Championship this year will be contested at Massachusetts on November 2-3.
