PRINCETON, N.J. – Behind five top-30 finishes, the La Salle men's cross country team placed second (30-team field) at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday morning.
Nico Greco led the way for the Explorers, crossing the finish line 13
th (272-runner field) with a 24:13 (8K).
Zach Sullivan followed suit, placing 15
th with a 24:21.
Nick Ross (24:23) and
Vince Perozze (24:27) were hot on his tail, coming in 17
th and 21
st, respectively.
Ian Barnhill rounded out the top-five with a 24:36, good for 28
th.
La Salle's 94 team points trailed only Villanova (23), who took home the top prize. A-10 rival Saint Joseph's (158) placed fourth while Duquesne (382) and Fordham (427) filed in 12
th and 14
th, respectively.
