Field Hockey Trio Earn Atlantic 10 Post-Season Accolades

All-Conference Team Release

PHILADELPHIA – Three members of the Explorer field hockey team earned post-season accolades Wednesday following outstanding individual seasons. Senior forward Olivia Shoemaker and junior midfielder Maddy Tettelbach were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team, while freshman midfielder Devin Murraco was named to the conference's All-Rookie Team.

Olivia Shoemaker's final season in Blue & Gold was nothing short of spectacular, as she set new career highs for points (33), goals (14) and assists (5). Her 33 points shattered the single-season school record set by Explorer great Kathy McGahey in 1980, while her 14 goals were the fourth most for a single-season in program history. She finishes her Explorer career seventh all-time in program history with 67 points, while she is tied for sixth in goals scored, finding the back of the net 30 times in her four years at La Salle. This was the second year in a row she was named to the All-Conference Second Team, as she finished sixth in the Atlantic 10 in points and tied for fourth in goals scored.

Maddy Tettelbach also enjoyed a career season in 2013. She marked new career highs for points (22), goals (7) and assists (8). She is now tied for tenth all-time in program history with 13 career assists, while her eight helpers in 2013 are tied for sixth most for a single-season. Her 22 total points were tied for eighth most in a single-season. This is also the second time in her Blue & Gold career she has earned post-season accolades, as she was an All-Rookie selection in 2011.

Devin Murraco was a solid performer for the Explorers, as her play transitioned seamlessly from high school to the collegiate ranks. She started all 19 matches for the Blue & Gold in her freshman season, collecting two goals and two assists. She marked an assist in her collegiate debut against Hofstra (8/30). Her first collegiate goal came two weeks later against Sacred Heart (9/13).
