PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle lacrosse squad returns to the friendly confines of McCarthy Stadium for a two-game homestand this week. The Explorers host Long Island on Wednesday and Delaware on Friday, with both opening draws at 7 p.m.

Scouting the Explorers
La Salle is riding a five-game winning streak, including two wins in California in their last trip. The Explorers are coming off of a 14-8 win over Fresno State and a 14-13 come-from-behind victory at San Diego State on March 8. The Explorers are off to their best start in program history at 6-1.
Caitlyn Brostrand and reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week
Lauren McDermott led the team in California with six goals apiece last week. Brostrand is up to 21 goals on the season along with two assists for a team-leading 23 points. McDermott is second with 17 goals and four assists for 21 points.
Erin McCabe, who drained three goals at Fresno State, is up to 12 goals and one assist for 13 points to round out the top three scorers.
The Explorer offense is balanced, however, with three more players -
Katelyn Fay,
Kelly Furman and
Melanie Sarcinello - totaling at least 10 points apiece so far.
Maura Malone has seen the majority of time in goal, sporting an 8.81 goals against average.
Scouting the Blue Devils
Two late goals were not enough as Central Connecticut was edged 11-10 by Longwood on March 8th in the last game out. The Blue Devils' lone win is a 9-5 triumph over Siena on March 6. They have also played Lafayette, Stony Brook and Villanova.
Betsy Vendel leads the Blue Devils with a team-best 10 goals and six assists for 16 points. Mackenzy Ryan is second on the team with 13 points on five goals and a team-best eight assists. Amanda Toke rounds out the top three scorers with nine points on seven goals and two assists.
Morgan Tullar has played all 300 possible minutes in goal. She is recording an 11.40 goals against average and 41.8 percent save percentage.
Scouting the Leopards
Lafayette is off to a 6-2 start, with the Leopards' only losses at the hands of Temple and Holy Cross. The Leopards cruised past Wagner, 16-6, in their last game on March 13. Ana White did it all, scoring three goals and notching six assists, to go with five ground balls and seven draw controls.
Six Leopards have at least 12 points, and the squad is led by Addie Godfrey's 41 points on 34 goals and seven assists. Godfrey is third in the nation in goals per game (4.14) and fourth in overall points (41). White has drained 20 goals and a team best 13 assists for 33 points. Jessica Rothstein rounds out the top three scorers with 16 goals and three assists for 19 points.
Meghan Curtin has seen the majority of time in goal with Mimi Connell also seeing some significant time. Curtin sports a 10.75 goals against average and a save percentage of 32.5 percent. Connell is recording a 12.64 GAA and 37.7% save percentage.
