PHILADELPHIA - Pat Christensen has been named Big 5 Pitcher of the Week for March 4, the organization announced today. The senior earned a win in La Salle's 6-5 extra inning victory over Texas Tech on Friday evening in Lubbock.

Christensen entered a 5-5 ballgame in the eighth and proceeded to throw 71 pitches in five innings of work. The La Jolla, Calif. native struck out five hitters, including the last two of the game while walking only one. The reliever picked up a save in the Explorer's first game of the seaon as well, a 6-5 defeat of Toledo.

Christensen will get the start for the Blue and Gold in Albuquerque on Tuesday night against New Mexico.
