Ravert Earns Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie Of The Week, Big 5 Player Of The Week Nods

PHILADELPHIA - Joey Ravert has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week and Big 5 Player of the Week for games played April 8-14, the organizations announced this Monday. The freshman hit .600 (12-20) during the week, including three extra base hits and three RBI. Ravert worked a walk and was hit by a pitch as well, totaling a .636 on-base percentage for the week to go along with an .800 slugging percentage.

The Havertown, Pa. native tallied a career-high four hits in La Salle's 9-6 victory on Tuesday over Lafayette while tying a career-high mark with three RBI. Ravert matched the hit total four days later in a 4-for-5 showing in the Explorers' 10-2 defeat of Saint Joseph's on Saturday afternoon. He notched his first career triple in that contest as well.

The Malvern Prep product's hitting spree raised his season average from .242 to .329 in the span on a week. He now ranks third on the club in hitting with a share for the second-most doubles (7) on the squad.

Ravert shared the weekly honor with Temple's Jimmy Kerrigan.
