Jason Plumhoff Named to PDL All-League Team

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle men's soccer standout and rising senior Jason Plumhoff has been named to the Premier Development League (PDL) All-League Team, it was announced Wednesday. The recognition came one day after Plumhoff was tabbed an all-Eastern Conference team selection.

Plumhoff spent the summer playing midfield for Reading United AC, helping the club's 8-1-5 finish in the league's Mid-Atlantic Division. He was one of three midfielders to earn the nod in a league of 64 teams and more than 1,200 players.

"I haven't really been scouted much by MLS teams, but I guess now I'm kind of making a name for myself and might have a better chance of getting drafted," Plumhoff told the Reading Eagle.

Plumhoff has played a key role in his first three seasons as an Explorer, starting 53 games in all. Last season, the Ellicott City, Md. native led the Blue and Gold in points (18) and goals (7), aiding the program's third consecutive Atlantic 10 Tournament appearance.
