HAVERFORD, Pa. - 11 Explorer women finished in the top-50 at the Main Line Invitational on Thursday afternoon at Haverford College. For the third time this season,
Rochelle Harrison crossed the finish line first for the Blue and Gold, posting a 17:46.36 (3 mile run) en route to a 15th place finish (86-runner field).
Molly Mickle (17:56.97),
Anne Areias (17:59.49), and
Kaylie McNally (18:01.60) ran as a pack, coming in 23rd through 25th, respectively. Not far behind were
Taylor Hackett (18:09.52) and
Christa Strycharz (18:13.73), who filed in 30th and 31st.Â
"We had several girls run very solid races today," head coach Dan Ireland said. "Rochelle Harrison and Molly Mickle continue to have outstanding seasons and Anne Areais is really starting to race well."
La Salle runs again on October 5 when it travels to Bethlehem, Pa. for the second time this season for the Paul Short Run.
"We are really excited about the race next weekend at Lehigh as that will be the first meet of the season that we will race our complete team," Ireland said. "The girls will finally get a chance to race hard and see what they can do."
