Three Explorers Earn All-Conference Honors As Cross Country Teams Race In A-10 Championships

Cedarville, OH – The La Salle cross country teams competed in the Atlantic 10 Championships Saturday morning at Elvin R. King XC Course, hosted by the University of Dayton. Overall, the men's team and women's team both placed fifth, with the men scoring 138 points and the women scoring 153 points.

Senior Chanel Muir was first for the men, placing 10th overall in the 8k race with a time of 24:11.8. For his top-15 finish, Muir earned All-Conference honors following the meet. Finishing after Muir was senior Charlie Hazlett, who got 19th place with a time of 24:37.4. Junior Matt Hill was next, getting 28th place with his time of 24:45.6, followed by junior Malthe Bogebjerg, who crossed the line in 24:51.7 to place 34th. Freshman Jacob Gardner was 50th to round out the scoring for La Salle, completing it in 25:13.4.

On the women's side, junior Gwenno Goode placed third overall with her 6k race time of 21:00.5, followed by senior Neve Moulai, who got ninth place with her time of 21:23.1. Both Moulai and Goode received All-Conference honors as well for their top-15 finishes. After Moulai was junior Stella Hammond, who placed 30th with her time of 21:59.1. Next was sophomore Amelia Green, who completed the race in 22:28.2 to place 54th. Senior Lexy Rivard closed the scoring for the Explorers, getting 60th place with her time of 22:36.3. 

La Salle continues racing in two weeks when the Explorers travel to Bethlehem, PA to race in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet on Friday, November 14. The meet will start at noon.
