PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team pitched a shutout and
Kelsey Haycook scored in the 67
th minute to propel the Explorers to a 1-0 win over Fordham on Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.
Haycook put a header over Fordham keeper Ally White from the edge of the box on a pass from
Danielle Marx at the 66:33 mark in the second half. The Explorers (7-4-2, 3-0) outshot the Rams (6-6-1, 0-2-1) 14-2 on the afternoon, and put five shots on goal.

Jessica Wiggins turned away both Fordham shots for her fourth shutout on the season as the Explorers won their third straight game.
The Blue and Gold earned a season-high nine corner kicks on the afternoon while preventing the Rams from taking any.
Although the opening half passed without a score for either side, La Salle entered the break with the momentum after outshooting the Rams 9-1 in the first 45 minutes.
The Explorers are on the road next weekend when they visit Dayton on Friday and Saint Louis on Sunday.
