PHILADELPHIA – La Salle men's soccer goalkeeper Mike Kirk has been named Defender of the Week by the Philadelphia Soccer Six.

Kirk recorded his fifth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's on Friday night at Sweeney Field. The junior tallied four saves to preserve the win after Joe Farrell scored the game-winner in the 26^th minute.

The Explorers are in action twice this weekend as they host St. Bonaventure on Friday before travelling across the state to Duquesne on Sunday.
