Matt Robinson earned weekly recognition from the Soccer Six after Explorers went 1-0-1 against Dayton and George Mason last week to earn a spot in their fifth straight Atlantic 10 tournament.
Kirk is recognized as the league's Defensive Player of the Week after recording his sixth shutout of the season with five saves in Friday's 1-0 win over Dayton. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native added five more saves on Sunday as the Explorers earned a 1-1 draw with George Mason. Two of those saves came in the second half with the score knotted at 1-1, and a third came in overtime.
Robinson earns the Player of the Week nod after scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Dayton on Friday night just before halftime. The Lansdale, Pa. native took a free kick and beat the Dayton keeper to the near corner for his fourth goal of the season. He also led the Explorers in shots in both their games over the weekend.
La Salle will be in action on Thursday night as the Explorers take on second-seeded St. Louis in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic-10 tournament.
