View the NSCAA release PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team has earned the NSCAA College Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday. The team compiled a 3.04 GPA to earn the distinction.
The NSCAA annually recognizes college soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field. A total of 880 college soccer teams (285 men, 595 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2013-14 academic year.
The recognition marks the fourth time in the past eight years that head coach
Pat Farrell's team has earned the achievement.
Matt Robinson and
Tom Baker both earned A-10 Academic All-Conference status this fall.
La Salle was among 207 schools that both their men's and women's programs recognized after the La Salle women's soccer team maintained a 3.50 GPA.
