STATE COLLEGE, PA – Two senior distance runners highlighted the first day of action at the Penn State National Invitational. Both Michelle Capozzi and Anne Areias completed Top-10 finishes in 5000 meter events held on the first day of the two day invitational.
 
Senior Michelle Capozzi competed in the Women's 5000 Meter Invitational event, finishing ninth with a time of 17:28.66.
 
Senior Anne Areias competed in the Women's 5000 Meter Run, finishing eighth out of the sixteen-competitor field with a time of 17:44.81.

Explorers Track and Field team members will also compete in the Columbia Lions Invitational tomorrow.
