The Explorers picked up their first win of the season on Sunday with a 4-1 victory over Saint Louis at the Blue Devil Classic. Sophomore
Joey Ravert allowed only one unearned run in 7.2 innings to pick up the win, earning Atlantic 10 Co-Pitcher of the Week and Philadelphia Big 5 Pitcher of the Week.

Ravert picked up the A-10 and Big 5 recognition in only his second career start on the mound. It was the first time he has received the honor from the A-10 and the second time he has been recognized by the Big 5 (4/15/13).

Ravert, Dominic Sgroi, and Adam Cherry combined to allow only four hits vs. SLU in the game, tied for the lowest hit output for an opponent in the conference this year.

Through seven games, the Explorers rank fourth in the A-10 in fielding percentage (.969).

As a team, La Salle is batting .258 (16-62) with runners in scoring position.

In six pinch hit attempts, the Explorers have collected four hits (.667). Kevin Conroy, JT Crits, Jack Meeker, and Ryan Welling are a combined 4-for-4.

Juniors Kevin Baron and Justin Korenblatt have each walked five times apiece, providing on-base skills at the top of the batting order. Korenblatt leads the team in on base percentage (.394) and Baron is second (.375).

Baron has reached base in all seven games this year and is riding a five-game hitting streak.

Despite only two starts and eight at bats, redshirt sophomore Jack Meeker leads the club in runs scored (4).

Freshman Nick Tierno picked up his first career hit in his first career at bat vs. Campbell on February 16. He also recorded La Salle's only stolen base of the year in the game.

La Salle's 16 assists vs. Campbell on February 15 are tied for the most in the A-10 this season. The Explorers turned three double plays in that game, tied for the single-game high in the conference.
