PHILADELPHIA - La Salle's
Alicia Cropper was named to the Philadelphia Big 5 First Team, announced by the Big 5 office today.
Cropper joins Alyssa Baron (Penn), Devon Kane (Villanova), Erin Shields (Saint Joseph's) and Natasha Cloud (Saint Joseph's) on the First Team.
The redshirt-junior finished up her first year on the court as an Explorer, leading the team this season with 14.7 ppg while adding 5.3 rpg and 2.6 apg.
Cropper was also named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team earlier this month. She ranked seventh in the Atlantic 10 by scoring 16.2 ppg in league play, and was also ranked in the A-10's top 15 in assists, three-point field goal percentage, three-point field goals ade, assist-to-turnover ratio, defensive rebounds and minutes played.
Cropper helped propel the squad to a 15-15 overall record and 9-7 Atlantic 10 record to earn the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament. The nine A-10 wins were the most since the 1996-97 season.
Cropper will be recognized at the Philadelphia Big 5 banquet on Monday, April 14, at 6 p.m. at the Palestra. Tickets are available for $50 by calling Steve Crider at 814-935-5015 or emailing
