Women's Track & Field Runs at Princeton, Temple

The La Salle women's track and field team split this weekend, testing its skills at the Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University and the Owls Alumni Invitational, hosted by Temple. The Explorers will run at the historic Penn Relays this upcoming weekend as they continue to prepare for the Atlantic 10 Championships.

Tori Pisco put together an impressive showing in the 800 meter run, clocking a personal-best 2:11.66. The mark earned Pisco 20th in the 78-runner field. Cayleigh Solano ran a 2:15.60 en route to a 43rd place finish.

Michelle Capozzi also registered a PR at the Invitational, clocking a 17:11.10 in the 5000 meter run. The senior came in 28th in the 59-runner field.

Meghan McGlinchey tried her luck in the 1500 meter run, timing a 4:36.04. McGlinchey finished 20th in the 39-runner field.

OWLS ALUMNI INVITATIONAL
Taylor Hackett took the top time in the 800 meter run, leading a pack wearing Blue & Gold with a 2:17.79 (PR).

In the 1500 meter run, McGlinchey finished first with a 4:36.92 while Rebecca Scardelletti placed second with a 4:44.71, less than half a second off her PR.

Christa Strycharz crossed the finish line first in the 3000 meter run, posting a 10:49.46.

Shanice Johnson competed in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, clocking a 12.84 and 26.78, respectively. Both times earned top-10 finishes and were personal bests for the senior.

Chelsea Harris posted the top Explorer time in the 400 meter run with a 1:00.35.
