JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Meghan McGlinchey ran a 16:24.32 in the 5000 meter run on Saturday evening at the NCAA Preliminary Championships, finishing ninth in her heat and 16^th overall. The top 12 finishers advanced to the final round championships in Eugene, Oregon.

The senior's time was good for 16^th in the 48-runner field. She was one of two Atlantic 10 runners to qualify for the 5k and 10k at the regional championship.

McGlinchey retires as La Salle's record holder in the 5000m indoor (15:46.50), 3000m outdoor (9:44.22), and 5000m outdoor (16:07.32).
