Box Score [PDF]PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team fell in a hard-fought match 1-0 to the Washington Huskies Friday night at McCarthy Stadium.
Washington's Kimberly Keever netted the game-winner for the Huskies, scoring in the 67th minute on a pass from Shannon Simon. Keever pushed the ball past the reach of La Salle keeper 
Jessica Wiggins but inside the far post on a sliding kick from the right wing.
Wiggins was otherwise stellar, recording 10 saves on the night to tie her career high. The senior also had 10 saves in a double overtime loss to Connecticut last September.
The Explorers recorded a total of 10 shots, landing six on target against Washington keeper Megan Kufeld. Senior forward 
Kelsey Haycook fired four shots on the night, almost tying the game on a header from 
Deja Davis in the 79
th minute.
Jessika Kagan and 
Danielle Marx also tallied a pair of shots for La Salle on the evening.
The Explorers return to action on Thursday as they visit the William & Mary for a 7 p.m. game at Martin Family Stadium
