PITTSBURGH, Pa.- The La Salle women's cross country team had three runners cross in the top-20 overall, to lead them to a 4-2 team record at the Duquesne Duals Saturday morning.
 
Leading the way for the Explorers were Morgan Szekely [19:14.7] and Megan Connell [19:14.9] who crossed the finish line nearly in tandem in 17^th and 18^th place overall. The other La Salle runner to score a top 20 finish was Emily Ward [19:17.8] who crossed in 20^th overall place. Finishing out the rest of the top seven for the Explorers were Molly Mickle [19:40.3], Katie Boligitz [19:48.8], Kaylie McNally [19:58.4], and Rebecca Scardelletti [20:04.0].
 
La Salle was able to pick up win over Carnegie Mellon, St. Joseph's, Youngstown State, and George Mason while falling to Buffalo and the hosts Duquesne to finish the day with a record of 4-2.
 
The Explorers return to action at the Friends Big 5 Invitational on September 12, which will occur in Philadelphia at Belmont Plateau.
