PHILADELPHIA - The 2014-15 Atlantic 10 Conference women's basketball schedule pairings have been announced, with a schedule that features home-and-away games against all 13 conference opponents with a total of 16 conference games.

The Explorers will play three conference opponents twice, and the remaining opponents once each. The squad will face Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's for both home and away matches.

The Explorers will also host Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington and Saint Louis, with road dates at Davidson, Dayton, Richmond, St. Bonaventure and VCU.

"We are excited about this year's Atlantic 10 pairings," Head Coach Jeff Williams said. "Every day in the A-10 is challenging, but with this year's group of kids we have a tremendous opportunity to make some noise in the Atlantic 10."

The squad is coming off of its best Atlantic 10 season in years, as the team posted the most number of wins (9) since 1996-97 while finishing with an overall 15-15 record. The team will return the majority of its point production as 2013-14 scoring leaders and All-Atlantic 10 picks Alicia Cropper and Micahya Owens suit up again this year, along with sophomore Jasmine Alston who picked up steam in league play last season both offensively and defensively. Graduate student Khristin Lee returns to the lineup after suffering a season-ending injury last year. The point guard led the A-10 in steals per game last season and also contributed nearly nine points per game on the offensive end. All returnees saw significant minutes last season and look for that extra year of experience to push the team to greater successes. The squad will also welcome four players, including three freshmen and a transfer, who look to make immediate impacts.
