DAYTON, Ohio – La Salle held a 25-23 halftime advantage but the host Flyers outplayed the Explorers on both ends of the court on their way to a 61-50 win at UD Arena. Redshirt sophomore

Senior
Steve Zack and redshirt sophomore
Cleon Roberts each added 10 points and four rebounds.
The Blue and Gold, coming off arguably its best performance of the season in a 63-50 home win over George Washington on Saturday, was looking to snap Dayton's six-game winning streak and capture a victory at UD for the first time since 1999.
Things looked good early on as La Salle led by four points on two occasions and took a 25-23 lead into the locker rooms.
A
Khalid Lewis three-pointer early in the second half put the Explorers up 31-28 with 17:11 remaining but it proved to be the final lead for the visitors.
Dayton went on a 13-2 run over the next four minutes to take its biggest advantage as Schoochie Smith scored seven points in the run. La Salle fought back to make it 44-42 on a Price three-pointer with 8:06 left but the last year's Elite Eight squad responded with a 10-0 run to put the game out of reach.
The Flyers were led by Smith's 16 points. Teammate Dyshawn Pierre added 16 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. UD improved to 14-2 and 4-0 in the A-10, its best start in the league since 2003-04.
UD Arena again proved to be a difficult place to play for any opponent. The Flyers have won 14 straight in the building and 48-12 under coach Archie Miller.
La Salle (9-8, 1-3 A-10) returns to Gola Arena to host Fordham on Saturday at 2 PM.
