PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle volleyball team hits the road for a pair of Atlantic 10 matchups this weekend. They face VCU on Friday at 7 p.m. before heading to Davidson on Sunday with first serve slated for 1 p.m.

-VCU leads into the weekend after winning two of it's past three contests. They picked up wins at Davidson (3-1) and at Saint Louis (3-2) while falling 3-1 at conference leader Dayton.
-Sophomore Jane Feddersen ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 holding a .339 hitting percentage against conference opponents.
-VCU ranks two players in the top 10 of the Atlantic 10 in kills per set during conference play. Freshman Sahbria Mcletchie ranks fifth at 3.56 kills per set and senior Kalah Jones is close behind with 3.29 kills per set in eighth.
-Sophomore Rebekah Strange is third in the Atlantic 10 averaging 3.91 digs per set during conference play. She leads the league with 133 total digs.
-Freshman Indigo Thompson has the most assists by any Atlantic 10 setter in a single match this season. She recorded 59 in a four set victory over Davidson two weekends ago.

-Davidson heads into the weekend after dropping a pair of matches last weekend falling 3-0 at Dayton and 3-1 at Saint Louis.
-The Explorers grabbed a 3-1 win at Davidson last season. Laura Kuhlmeier finished with a team-high 16 kills while Ashley Felton added 11 of her own with a hitting percentage of .500 on the day.
-Junior Emily Franklin leads the team, and is ranked fourth in the Atlantic 10, averaging 1.16 blocks per set against conference opponents. As a team the Wildcats rank second in the conference averaging 1.76 blocks per set.   
-Senior Morgan Shannon recorded 22 digs against George Mason in early October. This is the most by any player in a four-set conference match this season.     
-Sabrina Shepherd has two of the five double-digit blocking games by an Atlantic 10 player this season. She is also one of only two players to do it in a conference match.

Scouting the Explorers...

- La Salle enters the weekend leading the Atlantic 10 and ranking 23rd nationally with 135 aces on the year.
-Junior Ashely Felton is has the second most blocks in a three set conference match on the season, as she recorded seven blocks against Rhode Island.
-Freshman Jensen Sharrits recorded 34 digs against Bryant earlier this season; this is the most by any Atlantic 10 player in a single match on the year. 
-Sophomore Hannah McGary (.40) and freshman Madison Kuch (.36) both rank in the top eight in the conference in service aces per set in conference play.
-Sophomore Bryanna Davis leads the team averaging 2.51 kills per set on the season.

Next Up

La Salle returns home for its final three home games of the season. They host Duquesne next Friday at 7 p.m. before welcoming Davidson (11/6) and VCU (11/8) to Tom Gola Arena to close out the home slate.
