POWELLS POINT, N.C. - Conditions were not as optimal for scoring as they were in round one, but the La Salle golf team managed to shoot a solid 297 (+13) in round two of the three-round Old Dominion/OBX Invitational at Kilmarlic Golf Club on Monday.
"We knew today would be tougher with it being colder and much windier, so the guys overall played pretty well," head coach
Brad Kane said. "A 71 from P.J. and a 72 from Tonny were great in those conditions. Andrew has really done a nice job all tournament and overcame one really bad hole early on today. Seventh place so far in this field is really good so we're looking to keep the momentum going tomorrow."
Redshirt junior
P.J. Acierno led the Explorers for the second straight day with his even par 71. He is in sixth place with a two-under 140 and is only four shots behind the leader.
