Kaitlin Poiesz turned in a top 100 time to lead the La Salle women's cross country team to a 24
th place finish at the Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville.
Poiesz ran a time of 18:07.16 on the 5k course to finish in 98
th place and early 86 points towards the team score. Sophomore
Megan Connell was the next Explorer across the line running a time of 18:18.64 to finish in 125
th place in the 262 women field and early 108 points towards the team score.
Senior
Lauren Columbare finished in 165
th place thanks to a time of 18:41.42. Sophomore
Morgan Szekely ran a time of 18:47.54 to finish in 178
th place and early 149 points. Freshman
Molly Dearie was close behind running a 18:54.87 time to finish in 192
nd place.
Senior
Rebecca Scardelletti finished in 215
th place with a time of 19:09.86 and junior
Olivia Boyer finished in 248
th place with a time of 20:03.23 to round out the Explorer entries.
The team finished with 641 points and an average time of 18:33.93.
La Salle closes out its regular season at the Princeton Invitational on October 17 before heading to Richmond for the Atlantic 10 Championships at the end of the month.
