Morgan Szekely ran a time of 20:29.8 to finish in 45
th place at the 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday on the 6k course at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville. The finish is the highest ever by an Explorer women at the NCAA Championships.

Szekely finished just five places and 2.1 seconds out of the top 40 in the 254 runner field. The Marion, Texas native was sitting in 32
nd place after the 2000m mark with a time of 6:41.8. Szekely was the third runner from the Mid-Atlantic Region to finish behind senior Blanca Fernandez of Temple and freshman Tessa Barrett of Penn State. Szekely finished in 169
th place at the 2014 NCAA Championship.

Senior Molly Seidel of Notre Dame won the individual title with a time of 19:28.6 to best the field by five seconds. The New Mexico women won the individual title finishing with 49 team points which bested second place Colorado by 80 points.Â
