Live ResultsPHILADELPHIA- The La Salle women's track and field program kicks off its indoor season this Saturday as it heads to the Jack Pyrah Invitational hosted by Villanova in Haverford, Pa.
The Explorers will have nine athletes compete in six events to open up the season for the team.
A pair of underclassmen in freshman Ariel Mitchell and sophomore
Amber Jenkins will run in the 23 women field for the 60 meter event. Mitchel and Jenkins are both seeded at a 8.10 time for the event. The pair will be joined by freshmen Corinne Davis and Krista Forbes in the 300 meter field of 36. Jenkins owns the top seed time of 42.80 of the group.
Sophomore
Ifetayo Tyler will run in the 1000 meter race which has a field of six. Tyler has a seed time of 3:01.00 heading into the race.
A pair of senior will run in the four women mile field.
Rebecca Scardelletti and
Kate Conville will take to the track for La Salle with Scardelletti owning a seed time of 5:05.30.
Junior
Amber Jackson and freshman Kaleah Miller are among the 13 women field in the long jump. Jackson owns a seed distance of 5.61 meters heading into the event. The pair will also compete in the triple jump with Jackson having the top seed distance of the seven women field at 10.85 meters.
La Salle returns to action after the New Year as they to the Great Dane Classic in Staten Island, N.Y. on January 16.
