BARRANQUILLA, Colombia- Freshman Megan Connell finished in ninth place with a time of 16:52 at the inaugural APA Pan American Cross Country Cup on February 22.
 
The U.S. junior women earned 27 points and finished in second place just three points behind Canada who won the junior women's division. Connell was the fourth runner for the U.S. to cross the finish line and earned valuable points for the Americans.
 
Connell was chosen to represent the United States after her 11th place finish with a time of 23:15 in the 6k race at the 2015 USA Cross Country Championships in Boulder, Colorado.
 
During the fall La Salle cross country season Connell earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team thanks to her 12^th place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships in November helping fuel the Explorers to a second place finish overall.
