Complete ResultsSTONY BROOK, N.Y.- The La Salle women's track and field team battled the competition as well as chilly temperatures and snow at the Stony Brook Quad Meet on Saturday afternoon.

Freshmen
Morgan Szekely and
Kaitlin Poiesz both earned points in the 800 meter run. Szekely won the event with a time of 2:18.00 in the 11 women field while Poiesz finished in 2:21.87 in third place. Seniors
Taylor Hackett and
Alex Guntle also competed running 2:24.25 and 3:00.61 times respectively for fourth and 10
th places overall.

Senior
Cayleigh Solano won the 600 meter run and earned five points towards the team score with her finish. Solano ran a 1:37.22 to best the 14 women field. Juniors
Shannon Dwyer and
Kate Conville also entered the event running 1:39.31 and 1:40.83 times respectively for fifth and seventh places.

Freshman
Megan Connell ran a 4:49.32 which was good for third place in the 1500 meter run. Connell earned a point towards the team score in the 16 women field. Her classmate Alex Moraschi ran a 5:24.38 to finish in 12
th place overall in the event.

Three freshmen entered the 300 meter dash field of 18.
Amber Jenkins had the best finish as she ran a 45.38 for 10
th place overall.
Victoria Jones finished in second in her heat and 12
th overall thanks to a time of 46.10 while
Carolyn Boyce ran a 49.67.

Michelle Myland had the top La Salle finish in the 3000 meter run thanks to a time of 10:26.51 which was good for sixth place in the 19 women field. Junior
Rebecca Scardelletti and senior
Katie Boligitz also entered the field running 10:44.01 and 11:03.05 times respectively for 11
th and 14
th places.

Courtney Cramer represented La Salle in the 2000 meter steeplechase where she ran a 8:02.81 which was good for fifth place.

La Salle returns to action next week at the Colonial Relays beginning next Friday in Williamsburg, Virginia.
