Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers look to bounce back from a hard 24-6 loss to high-powered Delaware last Wednesday. The squad is 1-2 after winning its season opener and then falling to Temple and Delaware. Allee Ilgenfritz led the team by scoring three of those six goals against the Blue Hens, all in the first half.

Ilgenfritz leads the Explorer squad with eight points on seven goals and one assist. Erin McCabe and Alanna Diffendal are tied for second on the team with five points on three goals and two assists each. Rookie Brittany Edwards has also drained three goals so far this season. The offensive attack is balanced, with a total of 10 Explorers having recorded at least one goal.

Defensively, Kerry Newby is leading all field players with four caused turnovers and McCabe has picked up a team-high five ground balls.

Gabby Antonelli has played 170 of the possible 186 minutes in goal and currently sports a .453 save percentage while yielding 12.35 goals per game. Lucy Loughlin saw her first collegiate action last Wednesday, playing just shy of 16 minutes against the Blue Hens and recording the first three saves of her career.

Scouting the Dolphins
The Dolphins downed Coastal Carolina 17-11 in Conway, S.C., last Saturday to move to 4-1. Danielle Della Rocca led the team with three goals and six points and Jess Worcester also controlled a season-high 10 draws. The Dolphins also own wins over Central Connecticut State, Elon and San Diego State, after dropping their season opener to Florida.

Della Rocca leads all scorers with 26 points on 16 goals and 10 assists. Three other Dolphins have hit double digit points, including Rachel Aus with 12 points on nine goals and three assists; Hannah Wilcox with 11 points on nine goals and two assists; and Worcester with 10 points on eight goals and two assists.

The Dolphins also boast Atlantic Sun Preseason Player of the Year Taylor McCord, who scored 38 goals and recorded 27 assists last year to help the Dolphins to their second straight A-Sun title. Also returning is 2014 A-Sun Defensive Player of the Year Brittney Orashen, who had 29 points, 50 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers last season.

Asia Moore has handled the majority of goalkeeping duties so far in 2015, playing 242 of 298 possible minutes. She sports a 9.65 GAA and .418 save percentage while earning all five decisions this year.

Scouting the Owls
Kennesaw State enters the weekend with a 1-5 record. The Owls' lone win is a 17-7 decision over Delaware State. They have also faced Elon, Vanderbilt, Winthrop, Davidson and Campbell. They dropped a 16-12 decision to Campbell in their last game on Sunday.

This year marks just the third year of competition for the new program, which played its first-ever season in 2013. The Owls went 1-10 in that first season and 1-11 last year.

Taylor McGhee leads the Owls with 14 points on 13 goals and one assist. Sydney Farwick, an Atlantic Sun Preseason All-Conference pick, is second with 13 points on 12 goals and one assist. Haley O'Donoghue rounds out the top three with seven points on two goals and a team-high five assists.
