TIME CHANGE - 1:30 pm; Lacrosse Continues A-10 Play At George Mason On Friday

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle lacrosse team continues through its Atlantic 10 schedule with a road trip to George Mason on Friday. Opening draw is set for 1:30 p.m. in Fairfax, Va.

Last Time Vs. Patriots
The Explorers defeated the Patriots 13-4 in last season's A-10 finale, using that game to set a program win record and qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championship. Katelyn Fay and Allee Ilgenfritz led the attack with four goals each in that game, and Fay added two assists for a total of six points. 

Scouting the Explorers
The Explorers raced out to a 7-0 halftime lead over George Washington en route to a 10-8 win over the Colonials in the Atlantic 10 opener last Sunday. Ilgenfritz exploded for a career-high six goals in the win, and Fay added three points on two goals and an assist.

Ilgenfritz is up to 21 goals this season, which ties her for third among all Atlantic 10 players. She has also assisted a team-high seven times for a team-leading 28 total points. Fay also ranks in the top 10 in the league with 19 goals this season, and has 23 total points when her four assists are added in. Caitlyn Brostrand rounds out the top three scorers with 19 points on 13 goals and six assists.

Claire Andrews, Erin McCabe and Alanna Diffendal are all up to 11 points, and Kelly Furman has 10 points.

McCabe continues to lead by far on draw controls with 21. Brostrand is second with 11 controls. 

Defensively, Kerry Newby leads all field players with 11 caused turnovers. Goalie Gabby Antonelli matches that mark, and Anastasia Fries has added eight. Brostrand leads all field players with 17 ground balls, and Antonelli leads all with 23.

Antonelli sports a .483 save percentage to rank second in the Atlantic 10 behind national leader Rachel Vallarelli of Massachusetts. Her 9.69 goals against average ranks third in the league.


Scouting the Patriots
The Patriots are out to a 6-4 record and split their first two A-10 contests with a win over Saint Joseph's and a loss to UMass. They defeated SJU 14-12 in the league opener behind four goals each from Alexa McGovern and Caitlin McGinn before dropping a 17-7 decision to UMass.

The Patriots boast a high-scoring quartet of McGovern, McGinn, Jacquelyn Spalding and Melissa Lobaccaro. Spalding leads all by far with 43 points on 24 goals and 19 assists. McGovern is second with 22 points on 20 goals and two assists; McGinn is up to 22 points on 16 goals and six assists. Lobaccaro rounds out the quartet with 20 points on 19 goals and one assist.

McGovern also leads the team in draw controls with 33, and Gina Purdue has added 28. Erin Anderson leads the squad with eight caused turnovers.

Taylor Carpentier has handled all 606 minutes between the pipes, and sports a .447 save percentage and 10.79 goals against average.
