Full ResultsPHILADELPHIA- Junior Fran Ferruzzi led the La Salle men's cross country team and was the first collegiate finisher at the Friends Big 5 Invitational.

Ferruzzi finished in third place behind only two unattached runners. The sophomore finished in 19:05.2 on the 6k course to score one point for the team and finish 2.4 seconds ahead of the nearest runner.

The pair of senior
Stephen Lewandowski and junior
David Ozarowski were next to cross the line in 24
th and 25
th place respectively. Lewandowski crossed first in a time of 19:37.6 while Ozarowski was close behind in 19:42.2. sophomore
Nick Lefavor scored 23 points for La Salle with in 29
th place finish. He ran a 19:45.6 on the day.

"I was impressed with Fran Ferruzzi today," said head coach
Tom Peterson. "He went out and really showed the kind of shape that he is in. He was the first college runner to finish and grabbed the top point overall in the race.
Stephen Lewandowski stuck with the lead pack early in the race. He paid for it later and faded, but for someone who hasn't run a cross country race in two years he proved he is going to help our team out this season."

The final scorer for the Explorers was junior
John Pujols in 44
th place scoring 30 points for the Explorers. Pujols crossed with a time of 20:20.1. Close behind was classmate
Chris Berry who finished 45
th in 20:20.7.

Justin McNabb was next to cross for La Salle as he ran a 21:18.8 for 64
th place. Sophomre
Joseph Leconey and junior
Dan Rosenblatt finished in 68
th and 69
th respectively with times of 21:28.2 and 21:30.1.
