PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's soccer team begins a stretch of four straight road games with a match at Rider on Tuesday afternoon.
Scouting the Explorers-La Salle is coming off a 1-0 victory over the Siena Saints on Saturday thanks to
Andrew Connors' game-winner in the 19th minute and
Mike Kirk's second shutout of the year.
-La Salle is one of three teams (St. Louis, VCU) in the Atlantic 10 with two shutouts.
-The Explorers are third in the Atlantic 10 with 26 corner kicks.
-The Explorers hold a 10-8-1 advantage in the all-time series, which began in 1966. Rider and La Salle were East Coast Conference rivals in the 1970s and '80s, but are playing for the first time since 2007 (4-1 Rider victory).
