A-10 Release

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –La Salle men's soccer goalkeeper Mike Kirk has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week and Soccer 6 Defender of the Week after helping the Explorers pick up two road wins last week, including 1-0 win over #25/21 UMBC on Saturday night. Kirk shares the A-10 honor with Dayton's Amass Amankona. 

Kirk tallied his league-leading third shutout of the season in the win over the Retrievers after making six saves in a 2-1 win over Rider on Tuesday. The Broncs lone goal came on a penalty kick in the 43rd minute. The Mechanicsburg, Pa. native recorded a .889 save percentage on the week, facing 18 shots (nine on goal). 

The Explorers are on a three-game winning streak and look to wrap up a four-game road swing with matches at Temple and LIU Brooklyn this week.
