STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The La Salle track and field team traveled to Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Friday to compete in the NYC Gotham Cup.

Upperclassmen senior
Kaylie McNally and junior
Olivia Boyer had strong finishes in the 5000 meters. McNally ran a 18:13.00 for third place out of the 12 entries. Boyer was close behind, finishing with a personal best time of 18:18.50 for sixth place.

Sophomore
Kaitlin Poiesz led three La Salle women in the 1000 meters. Poiesz ran a time of 3:03.87 for 15
th place out of the 48 entries. Seniors
Rebecca Scardelletti (3:05.04, 18
th place) and Alexandria Guntle (3:30.50, 43
rd place) also competed.

Mone't Gist finished in 17
th place out of 45 entries in the 60 meter hurdles. Gist ran a 9.41 second time in the race. Freshman
Krista Forbes also competed finishing in 32
nd place with a time of 10.03 seconds.

Sophomore Ifetay Tyler led three Explorers in the 800 meters. Tyler ran a time of 2:21.86 for 28
th place in the 72 women field. Junior

th place) also ran in the race.

Amber Jenkins finished in 20
th place out of 49 runners in the 200 meter race. Jenkins ran a 26.21 second time. Jenkins also ran in the 400 meter race finishing in 44
th place out of 89 with a time of 1:00.47.

Ariel Mitchell finished in 25
th place out of 79 entries in the 60 meter dash thanks to a 7.93 second time.

Madison Elliott ran in the mile for La Salle finishing in 39
th place with a time of 5:57.48.

Three freshmen competed in the long jump for the Explorers.

La Salle will compete in the Tiger Open on Sunday evening before heading to the Penn State Invitational and Bison Open next weekend.
