BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The La Salle women's track and field team set a pair of program records at the Lehigh Covert Invitational.Â
Freshman
Kaleah Miller and junior
Amber Jackson finished one-two in the long jump field of 23. Miller used a leap of 5.79 meters to top the field and set a program record in the process. Miller's jump bested the record set last year by
Amber Jackson. Jackson was close behind at Lehigh, with a distance of 5.41 meters for second place. Freshman
Krista Forbes also competed, finish in 13
th place thanks to a 4.83 meter distance.

Junior
Mone't Gist set the second program record on the day by rrunning a 9.05 second time in the 60m hurdles to finish in third place out of the 29 women entered, just .13 seconds off the winner's time. Gist bested the 9.20 second time that had been the mark run by Kimberly McIntosh in 2007. Freshman
Krista Forbes also competed running a 9.97 second time for 15
th place.

Gist returned in the 60 meter dash turning in a time of 8.07 seconds for a second place finish out of 25 entries. Gist was just .21 seconds off the winner while winning her individual heat by .09 seconds.

Sophomore
Amber Jenkins used a time of 1:00.25 for a third place finish in the 400 meters out of 22 entries. Jenkins was just .65 seconds off of the winner and won her individual head by .79 seconds.

Freshman
Ariel Mitchell finished in fourth place out of 42 entries in the 200 meters. Mitchell ran a time of 26.93, just .47 seconds off the winner for fourth place.

Junior
Madison Elliott won her heat of the mile run thanks to a time of 6:00.54. She beat out the ten other women in the team by 8.62 seconds and finished in 21
st place out of the 34 total entries in the event.

Senior
Alex Guntle ran a time of 2:45.15 in the 800 meters which was good for third place in her heat.Â
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- Sophomore
Ifetayo Tyler finished in tenth place out of 27 women in the 800 meter run at the Penn State National Invite. Tyler ran a time of 2:16.04 in the event which was second best in her heat. Senior
Kate Conville also ran, finishing in 26
th place thanks to a time of 2:19.14.

Megan Connell used a time of 10:09.59 in the 3000 meter run to place 10
th out of 17 entries.

Kaitlin Poiesz crossed in 16
th place out of 22 entries in the mile run. Poiesz crossed in 4:59.39.
