Field Hockey Unveils 2017 Recruiting Class

PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle University field hockey team signed four players to National Letters of Intent for the 2017 season, it was announced on Friday. Head coach Michelle Marks-Salmi is pleased welcome the new Explorers to campus next fall.

 Rialee Allen is a forward/midfielder who hails from Woodbine, N.J., where she was a four-year standout for Ocean City High School.  Allen led her team to state championships in her freshman and senior years, as well as four straight South Jersey Championships.

 The midfielder set the school record with 46 goals and 33 assists in her senior campaign. She was named to the Cape Atlantic League,  South Jersey and All-State First Teams in 2016. She plays club for the Spirit of USA.

 

Amber Blackshear is a midfielder from North Wales, Pa., earning four varsity letters at North Penn High School and leading her team to four district playoffs. 18537
She was named to the Suburban One Conference Second Team All-League in her senior campaign and Third Team All-League in her junior season.

Blackshear plays club for Field Hockey Sports Club and Mystix, where she competed in the 2015 Pool of Champions Festival.




18536Nina Magnotta is a defender/midfielder from Forty Fort, Pa., who led her high school to the District Championship in 2014. The Wyoming Seminary College Prep player was named to the All-American Academic Squad in 2015 as well as the 2015 Times Leader All-Star Team.

Magnotta plays club for the PA Elite Field Hockey Club, which competed in the 2015 NIT Nationals.




Emelynn Sneary is a goalkeeper from South River, N.J., who was a three-year varsity player for Saint John Vianney High School. She helped her team qualify for
18535the NJSIAA Tournament in her sophomore and junior campaigns.

She tallied a career-high 40 saves in her senior year and 93 career saves. Sneary guided her team to qualify for the Shore Conference Tournament in 2014 and 2015. The goalkeeper plays club for Mid-Jersey Knights Field Hockey Club.
