La Salle Hosts St. Bonaventure for Senior Day on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA– The La Salle women's basketball team plays host to the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Saturday afternoon at Tom Gola Arena. The 1 p.m. tipoff will be preceded by a ceremony recognizing senior Ebony Wells for her contributions to the program.

Scouting the Explorers

-Amy Griffin scored a career-high 33 points in the win on Wednesday, including seven points in the final 42 seconds to help the Explorers seal the victory over Saint Joseph's and eclipse her previous career-high of 31 points (Dec. 30 at Monmouth).

-The Explorers never trailed in the contest, capturing the lead for good on an Adreana Miller jumper with 3:58 remaining in the first half.

-La Salle's 75 points on Wednesday were a season-high in a regulation game this season (scored 76 points in an overtime loss to VCU on Feb. 7).

-Jasmine Alston filled the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds and eight assists against Saint Joseph's, narrowly missing her sixth double-double of the year.

-Lisa Mintzer recorded career-highs in rebounds (nine) and blocks (five) while adding five points against the Hawks. The junior is averaging 1.8 blocks per game in league play, which is third most in the A-10.

-The Explorers had a season-high 10 blocks against the Hawks.

Scouting the Bonnies
-St. Bonaventure is coming off a 69-67 overtime victory over Atlantic 10 leader George Washington on Wednesday night. 

-Katie Healy had a game-high 24 points against GW and leads SBU in scoring (15.3 ppg) this season, which ranks fourth in the A-10. Sophomore Mariah Ruff (9.6 ppg) added 18 points against the Colonials, including 12 in the second half and overtime.

-Senior Nyla Rueter and sophomore Miranda Drummond have combined for 113 three-pointers this year, the most of any teammates in the A-10.

-The Bonnies defense has been stingy this season as they lead the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (54.6 ppg allowed) and field goal percentage defense (34.3 percent).
