Philadelphia, PA - On Thursday, the La Salle women's basketball staff officially announced its 2026 non-conference schedule, featuring 12 contests across five states.
The Explorers will open the season on the road at Rutgers on November 4 before returning home for their home opener against Loyola (MD) on November 7. La Salle started last season with a 71-59 road victory over the Greyhounds, with
Kiara Williams and
Amiya Moses each scoring their first collegiate baskets.
La Salle will then host Temple in a Big 5 matchup on November 11 before traveling to Virginia Tech on November 15 for its longest non-conference road trip of the season. The matchup will mark the Explorers' first meeting with the Hokies since 2000.
The Explorers return home on November 18 to host Division III Rowan University for the first time in program history before traveling to American on November 21 to complete a home-and-home series that began last season. In last year's meeting, La Salle earned a double-digit home victory over the Eagles despite allowing 29 points to then-sophomore guard Molly Driscoll.
La Salle will close out the month with a trip to Villanova on November 24 for the second of its two Big 5 pod games before returning from the Thanksgiving break on December 6 for the Big 5 Championship at The Palestra, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary season.
The Explorers will then travel to Iona on December 12 before returning home on December 15 to host Maryland Eastern Shore in the second leg of their home-and-home series. La Salle defeated the Hawks by double digits last season.
To conclude non-conference play, the Explorers will compete in the FDU Holiday Classic, joining UC San Diego and Youngstown State in the field. La Salle will face UC San Diego in its opening game on December 19, with a second contest against either Youngstown State or host FDU to follow the next day.
The Atlantic 10 schedule will be announced at a later date.
