Philadelphia, PA - On Tuesday, the Big 5 officially announced the 2026-27 women's basketball pods and championship date, with La Salle, Temple and Villanova comprising Pod 2 for the second consecutive season.
The Explorers will host Temple on Wednesday, November 11, before traveling to Villanova on Tuesday, November 24. The Big 5 championship tripleheader will take place Sunday, December 6, at The Palestra as the historic venue celebrates its 100th anniversary. Ticket information for the Big 5 tripleheader at The Palestra will be announced at a later date.
La Salle has increased its win total in each of the last three seasons but has not claimed a Big 5 victory since the 2022-23 season, when the Explorers defeated Drexel, 77-74, on the road.
