All-Time SeriesLa Salle has won five of the last six meetings with Massachusetts, including a 71-69 victory over the Minutewomen last February at Tom Gola Arena. UMass holds a 15-10 advantage in 25 all-time meetings.
Scouting the Explorers-La Salle rallied from a nine-point deficit in the 4th quarter to force overtime against VCU on Sunday after
Micahya Owens hit the game-tying three-pointer with 18.3 seconds left in regulation. The triple from Owens capped a 10-3 run for the home team over the final 3:50 of regulation.
-Sunday's overtime thriller against VCU was the first overtime game for La Salle since a 55-54 OT loss to Rhode Island on Jan. 18, 2015.
-Owens tied her career high with a season-high 24 points against the Rams on Sunday. The performance moved her past Lori Sparling (1,125 career pts, 1992-96), Ashley Gale (1,126 career pts, 2007-11) and Allison Hudson (1,138 career pts, 1983-87) into 16th on the all-time scoring list at La Salle. The junior now has 1,143 career points.

Amy Griffin finished with 18 points against the Rams, and leads the A-10 in scoring with 18.3 points per game this season.

Ebony Wells provided a spark off the bench for the Explorers on Sunday, netting 11 points in 17 minutes. The redshirt senior was 3-for-6 from the floor and 5-for-7 from the foul line.
Scouting the Minutewomen- UMass is coming off a 60-55 loss to Fordham on Saturday, and is in search of its first win since an 84-58 defeat of UMass-Lowell on Dec. 30
-Junior Kymber Hill droped a career-high 15 points against the Rams while Cierra Dillard chipped in 13 and Bria Stallworth added 10 points.
-Dillard (13.5 ppg) and Stallworth (12.9 ppg) are both in the top 20 in the A-10 in scoring while Dillard has been an equally strong on defense, tallying 46 steals (3rd in the league) this season.
-Senior Rashida Timbilla leads the Minutewomen on the glass with an average of 9.2 rebounds per game, and needs 66 rebounds to reach 1,000 for her career. The Ottawa, Ontario native is also just 105 points shy of the 1,000-point milestone.
