PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle lacrosse team returns to action as it welcomes UMBC to McCarthy Stadium on Saturday with opening draw slated for 1 p.m.

Brittany Edwards is a perfect 5-5 on the year from the fan.
Edwards is coming off her strongest game as an Explorer as she scored five goals against Robert Morris. The sophomore had just eight career goals entering Tuesday's game. Senior Katelyn Fay and junior Allee Ilgenfritz lead the team with seven points apiece on the season. Fay has scored a team-high seven goals while Ilgenfritz has four goals and leads the team with three assists. Senior
Allie Burnett leads the team with six caused turnovers on the season. She also has three draw controls and a pair of ground balls to her name. Senior
Abby O'Donnell leads the team with seven ground balls on the season.
Sophomore
Lucy Loughlin has played every minute in the cage for the Explorers with 20 saves through three contests.
Scouting the RetrieversUMBC grabbed a 9-7 win at Drexel on Wednesday. The Retrievers were able to hold the Dragons scoreless the entire second half to pull of the come from behind victory.
Junior goalkeeper Ashley Peacock made six saves against the Dragons and is averaging 9.64 goals against and a 47.0 save percentage which ranks third in the American East in both categories.
Sophomore Carolyn Jamison has 20 goals on the young season to lead the Retrievers. Jamison leads the American East in goals per game and points with 26 on the year.
Junior Sam Nolan and sophomore Marissa Davey also have double-digit goals on the year with 13 and 12 goals respectively.
Next UpLa Salle returns to action with a pair of road games next weekend. The Explorers head to Sacred Heart on Friday at 3 p.m. before heading to Central Connecticut State on Sunday at noon.
