Scouting the Explorers

La Salle enters the regular season finale controlling its own postseason fate, as if they win they earn the sixth and final seed into the A-10 Championships. A Richmond loss at St. Bonaventure would also be enough to clinch a spot. There is a scenario remaining where La Salle, Richmond and George Washington would enter a three team tie-breaker.

The Explorers split last weekend's action as they grabbed a 13-11 win at George Washington before falling 16-7 at Richmond.

La Salle will honor the program's nine seniors prior to Saturday's regular season finale. Seniors Allie Burnett, Katelyn Fay, Katie Fonte, Alexis Henderson, Anna Kelly, Kerry Newby, Abby O'Donnell, and Katie Wherley as well as senior manager Bridget Brophy will be a part of the ceremony pre-game.

Fay enters the matchup one game shy of tying for the career record in games played (65). Kelly will join her in the top 10 in career appearances (63) after Saturday's matchup. Fay also ranks fifth in career points (157) and fourth in career goals scored (137).

Fay ranks fourth in the conference in goals per game this season at 2.53 entering the season finale. She is also tied for fourth in the league with four game-winning goals on the season.

Freshman Sarah Gallagher ranks sixth in the conference averaging 7.71 saves per A-10 contest on the season.

The Explorers have won the past three meetings between the two programs at McCarthy Stadium.

Scouting the Dukes

Duquesne enters the weekend part of a three way tie for the second seed in the Atlantic 10 Championships with a 6-2 conference record. The Dukes enter on a three game winning streak after including two last weekend at Davidson (8-4) and George Washington (18-11).

Jill Vacanti leads the Dukes attack averaging 3.38 goals per game against conference foes which is the second best mark in the conference. Tess Drotar also ranks in the top ten at 2.25 goals per A-10 matchup.

Jenna Bishop is the primary keeper for the Dukes and ranks third in the A-10 with a .530 save percentage in conference play. She leads the league averaging 10.0 saves per matchup.
