PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle women's lacrosse team returns home as it welcomes St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's to McCarthy Stadium this weekend.

Scouting the Explorers
La Salle enters the weekend one of six teams tied at 1-1 in the conference standings. Massachusetts and George Mason both opened conference play with a pair of wins and are atop the standings while Richmond, Davidson, Duquesne, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and the Explorers split the opening weekend to enter a six way tie for third place. George Washington and VCU had a rough start to conference play and are 0-2 through two games.
The Explorers split the opening weekend falling in a heart breaker at Davidson (8-9) before grabbing a win over conference newcomer VCU (7-5). Senior Kate Fay scored five goals over the weekend while also adding an assist.
Freshman Sarah Gallagher made her first career start at VCU stepping into the cage after an injury to sophomore Lucy Loughlin. Gallagher made six saves and limited the Rams to just five goals on the afternoon with a saver percentage of .545. She also helped hold VCU without a goal for a period of 33:14 while allowed the Explorers to go on a 6-0 run gain control of the contest.

Abby O'Donnell ranks second in the conference after causing four turnovers last weekend.
Fay leads the team with 23 goals on the season and 26 total points. Junior
Allee Ilgenfritz is second with 18 goals and 25 total points on the year.
La Salle-St. Bonaventure History
This is the 17
th ever meeting between the two programs with both teams having grabbed eight prior wins. La Salle has won the past four meetings and the past three at McCarthy Stadium. The Explorers have outscored the Bonnies 205-171 in the 16 prior meetings and 100-81 in home games. La Salle grabbed a 20-7 win over the Bonnies last season on the road. Junior
Allee Ilgenfritz scored five goals on the afternoon while Fay tallied a pair and Ceplo, Burnett, and Edwards all had a goal to their names.
Scouting the Bonnies
St. Bonaventure fell 25-8 at Duquesne to open the conference season before rebounding with a 12-9 win over George Washington. Also, has a common opponent of La Salle as they faced Robert Morris falling 17-10 in early March.
The Bonnies lead the A-10 as they are averaging 9.90 saves per game this season. Kerrigan Cummins leads the team as she has appeared in all ten games and averages 6.70 saves per contest.
Mikayla Place and Taylor Fallon both rank in the top ten in the A-10 in points per contest. Place ranks seventh at 3.20 while Fallon is tied for tenth at 3.00. Fallon leads the team with 21 goals on the year while Place is tied for second at 15 on the season.
Scarlet Jaworski had a strong start to conference play as she recorded six goals last weekend which is tied for sixth most in the conference.
The Bonnies lead the conference as they are averaging 15.50 draw controls per contest against A-10 foes after one weekend of conference play. They also shot at a .513 clip last weekend which is the second highest percentage in the conference.
La Salle-Saint Joseph's History
Saint Joseph's is one of two schools that the Explorers have played every season since the program began play in 1998. La Salle has won the past three meetings between the pair and is 5-2 all-time against the Hawks at McCarthy Stadium. The Explorers grabbed a 17-6 win over Saint Joes last season on the road. Fay, Ilgenfritz, and Ceplo all scored a pair of goals in the win while Newby and Edwards each added one.
Scouting the Hawks
Saint Joseph's split a pair of matchups to open up A-10 play last weekend. The Hawks fell to UMass (5-15) before picking up a 10-8 win at Davidson to round off the opening weekend.
The Hawks rank second in the conference as they average 9.40 caused turnovers per contest on the season. Caroline Hagan and Megan Tracy are tied for the team lead with 13 each averaging 1.30 per contest.
Nora McCallion leads the team with 22 goals on the year and 29 total points. Rebecca Lane has added 16 goals on the season and is leading the team by averaging 2.67 per contest. Maggie Egan is tied for second in the conference as she averages 1.70 assists per game.
Genevieve Giblin has played in all ten contests for the Hawks and has made 6.50 saves per contest on the year. Giblin has a save percentage of .357 on the year.
