Men's Swimming and Diving | January 29, 2017
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The La Salle Men's and Women's Diving teams closed out the Penn State Diving Invitational Sunday night with finals appearances from individuals on both teams.
In the men's competition, freshman
Blake Griffith led all Explorers with a fourth place finish in the 3 meter finals. In doing so, Griffith scored 278.80 in the field of eight divers. Just behind him,
Dylan Yurasits scored 274.05 for fifth place. In seventh place,
Chase Ott scored 264 flat.
Sydney Szopo and
Dominique DiRienzo both qualified for the women's final. Szopo's score of 224.75 for fifth place. DiRienzo's score of 198.75 rounded out the top ten.
Head Coach
Steve Kuttruff and his team will begin to gear up for the Atlantic 10 Championships which start on February 15th. But first, the Swimming and Diving teams will head to the Villanova Sprint Fest on February 4th at noon.
